CRIES OF FREEDOM THE MUSICAL: Through song and dance, our musical tells the story of freedom-seeking people from the late 1400’s, with Joan of Arc, the cries of the Dutch in the 1500’s, the Scrooby separatists and pilgrims of the 1600’s and the colonists in the 1700’s. The show depicts the great moment we became a nation as well as many other historical moments. It is a thrilling dramatization of people from all countries willing to die for that which they hold dearest, their FREEDOM!

Cries of Freedom is a captivating musical event for the whole family!  The compelling stories of heroes past told through beautiful music will fill you with gratitude for the liberties you enjoy and inspire you to join the fight to maintain them.  Make your celebration of Independence Day unforgettably meaningful with Cries of Freedom!

Other events happening in Showhouse II between shows include local musical talent, ROTC drill groups, prize drawings, American Legion flag ceremonies, animal shows, swearing in of new citizens, meet George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and more,

10:00AM – 8:00PM: In Gallery 101, you can see Brent Ashworth’s collection of rare antiquities. In Room 201, there will be an immigrant simulation, free souvenir passports, find out what happened on Ellis Island, take a citizenship test and oath of citizenship, and visit the freedom store. On the front lawn, participate in the Walk Of Honor, see tagged flags representing Utah soldiers killed since 9/11, purchase a flag and take a flag quiz.
