Monty Python’s SPAMALOT
This uproarious Tony Award-winning musical is a Monty Python spoof on the legend of King Arthur!
Description
Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of beautiful girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people. The 2005 Broadway production won three Tony® Awards, including Best Musical, and was followed by two successful West End runs. The uproarious, and gloriously entertaining story of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake will make you laugh out loud as they search for the Holy Grail and “always look on the bright side of life.” Directed by Michael Carrasco.
NOTE: We have chosen to produce the slightly reworked School Edition of the original Broadway script, which has been carefully edited for language and allows the director discretion to make the show more content friendly for schools and theatrical groups.
Book and Lyrics: Eric Idle | Music: John Du Prez
