Description
On the 1st Friday of each month, this fun class is taught step-by-step by a tiny wheel pottery specialist! If you’ve ever wanted to learn to throw pottery on a wheel, this is a great way for beginners to learn throwing basics, and for more experienced potters to try something unique and advance their skills. Our Tiny Wheel Pottery monthly events will show you how to create adorable mini pottery projects including tiny vases, bowls, pots, mugs, seasonal and novelty projects and more. You’ll get to glaze (paint) and decorate your tiny art, and we’ll fire it our kiln and have it ready for pickup about three weeks later. NOTE: Short fingernails are recommended, but not required.
Perfect for homemade gifts or as decor for your home. We provide all the supplies. Each monthly class will be 90-120 minutes depending on the project. Cost is $20/person.
FEBRUARY PROJECT: Each month will be a different project, and for Friday, February 6th @ 7pm, participants will learn how to throw a tiny casserole dish on a mini pottery wheel. Dish can be left round or the instructor will teach how to shape it into a rectangular dish. You will also add handles, glaze and decorate your dish. This would be adorable for kitchen or dining room decor. or as a mini serving dish for dips or sauces. Those who have some pottery experience or take the class often will learn more advanced techniques.
