THE TRAIL OF DREAMS

November 13 - November 21, 2015

A powerful musical about the journey of LDS Saints told through actual journals of Mormon pioneers

Description

James Arrington, Marvin Payne, and Steven Kapp Perry have taken a fistful of true stories and the passion of pioneer dreams, and woven the years of the Mormon exodus into a tapestry of laughter, tears, and joy. The Trail of Dreams cast recording won a Pearl Award for “Best Soundtrack,” and Steven Kapp Perry was nominated as “Songwriter of the Year” for his work. Brought across the plains by real-life pioneer trail guide John Brown, this powerful journey of LDS Saints is told through his memory and the actual journals of the traveling pioneers. Audiences will be swept up in moments of hope and tragedy that will stay in your heart long after the trail ends. Co-produced with Utah Valley University Department of Theatrical Arts.  Directed by James Arrington.
