Description
A ten-piece swing band formed on the banks of the Mississippi River by a group of missionary couples serving in the Nauvoo LDS Mission. Comprised of retired professional musicians, music educators, and veteran performers, Mississippi Mood has a big band sound and a repertoire of songs from the 30’s 40’s and 50’s, and featuring vocalist Dick Chappel. Band leader Lemoyne Taylor spent many years with the Disneyland Band and as a studio musician in Southern Cal, and his masterful arrangements have taken Mississippi Mood to performances all along the Wasatch Front. The perfect Valentine’s date for you and the one you love!
