Featuring amazing mariachi singer Yunuen Carrillo, a live mariachi band and folkloric dancers will bring the fiesta, colors, emotion and rich sounds of Mexico!
Yunuen Carrillo is Utah’s best known mariachi singer. Her talent as a singer, her stage presence, and charisma for 20 years in Utah has resulted in performances for the most important events in the Latin community. Yunuen studied folklore and theater in Mexico and has a Business Degree. She has performed on the many of the most prestigious stages in Utah, such as SCERA Center for the Arts, Kingsbury Hall, SLC Conference Center, Rio Tinto Stadium, Thanksgiving Point, Maverick Center, The Viridian Center, Provo Convention Center, Covey Center for the Arts, The Gallivan Center, Living Traditions, and many University and art festivals as well as hundreds of private events throughout Utah and other states including California at Disney events. Yunuen is a concert producer, performer, mom and wife. She strongly believes in the importance of preserving heritage and the necessity of keeping culture alive. It is important to keep cultural memories relevant for new generations, which help children from many ethnicities to better identify themselves and proudly serve their communities.
