ADRIENNE BRAUN
Adrienne began singing solos, duets and trios as a very young child and, as a preteen, she sang in many local children’s choirs. As such, she developed a great love and appreciation for music and singing. Adrienne received her Music Education degree from Utah Valley University (2013), studying with Serena Benish. While attending UVU, she had many performing opportunities, one of her favorites was performing in the Cathedral of the Madeleine as a soloist in George Frideric Handel’s Dixit Dominus. Since graduating, Adrienne has performed with Utah Lyric Opera in La Traviata (Giuseppe Verdi) and Carmen (Georges Bizet) as an opera chorus member. Adrienne sang the role of Mother Mary in Rob Gardner’s Lamb of God (2018) and was most recently a featured soloist in SCERA’s Songs For Lovers (2023). Adrienne has found great satisfaction and success teaching group and private vocal lessons at SCERA as well as teaching as an adjunct vocal instructor at Utah Valley University. She has continued her vocal studies with Dr. Arden Hopkin and has been mentored by him in vocal pedagogy for many years and, as such, has stepped in for Dr. Hopkin as the interim director of the vocal program at SCERA while he serves an LDS mission. Adrienne has been an active member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) since 2016 and currently serves on the board of the Central Utah Chapter. When Adrienne isn’t actively learning, teaching or singing, she can be found spending time with her partner, Travis, and their three beautiful children.
