FALL 2010 / WINTER 2011
Choose from Orchestra, Guitar or both! These 14-week beginning workshops teach students basic music knowledge and enables them hands-on instruction on their instrument of choice. Students will perform in a Christmas and Spring mini-concert for family and friends! ORCHESTRA: Teaches violin, viola or cello. GUITAR: Teaches classical or acoustic. Students must provide their own instrument. No previous experience needed. Instructor: Brittany Williams-Willey

TIME: Guitar - Tuesdays 5:30-6:15pm
Orchestra - Tuesdays 6:15-7:00pm
AGES: 8-13

TUITION: $75/semester per group
INSTRUCTOR BRITTANY WILLEY Brittany Willey has played the violin for 9 years under the instruction of Barbara Williams, Monte Belknap, and currently Dr. LeeAnn Morgan. She has had several notable experiences in her career, including being a prizewinner twice in the Utah State Fair Music Competition, becoming a State Sterling Scholar finalist, and performing as a soloist in the Utah Valley Symphony Young Artists concert. She assists with the Northridge Elementary Orchestra and has assisted in teaching the Lehi City Youth Orchestras and Guitar Ensembles. Brittany has been teaching private lessons for four years, and enjoys working with all age groups. Brittany earned an Associate in Arts at Utah Valley University and is now studying violin performance at the Brigham Young University School of Music, where she has enjoyed playing in the BYU Symphony Orchestra, and currently plays in the BYU Philharmonic.TO REGISTER: Registration for Fall 2010 will begin on Monday, August 16. Pick up a registration form at the SCERA Center for the Arts, 745 South State, Orem, open 10am-6pm weekdays or Saturdays from 12Noon-6pm, call (801) 225-ARTS to register by phone or Download & Print Fall 2010-Winter 2011 Registration Form. Bring the completed form and full payment to the main office of the SCERA Center for the Arts. There is a $15 cancellation fee per class.
