You are cordially invited to attend the 5th Annual AN EVENING OF STARS Celebrity Arts Gala, a black tie event featuring fine cuisine, the best of live entertainment and presentation of THE STAR AWARDS.  The Star Awards, the highlight of the evening, honor and celebrate groups and individuals who have made and continue to make significant contributions to the arts in Utah County and beyond.  DAVID OSMOND will host and emcee the event.

Everything for the gala — from auction items, video production, printing and table linens to performers, equipment, plaques and dinner — has been donated so that 100% of the proceeds will benefit SCERA’s Endowment for the Arts and its arts programs.  SCERA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization and donations are tax-deductible.

The red carpet and a silent auction opens at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will begin at 6 p.m. followed by a live auction conducted by the popular Kevin Gallagher at 6:45 p.m.  The Star Awards and entertainment will begin immediately after the auction.

“We like having the opportunity to honor those who enrich our lives by their talents, their time, their support and their creativity,” says SCERA President & CEO Adam J. Robertson. “It goes far beyond SCERA; we acknowledge a wide variety of involvement in the arts in many cities and organizations throughout the valley.”

THE 2010 STAR AWARDS WILL HONOR:  MIchael McLean (The Star Award); The Utah Symphony (Lifetime Achievement); Nathan Criman (Theatre); Liz Lemon Swindle (Visual Arts); Choir of the Madeleine (Music); Louis Van Amstel (Dance); Ron & Terri Lindorf (Friend of the Arts/Individual); XANGO (Friend of the Arts/Corporate); Robert & Cumorah Holdaway (Advocate of the Arts); George Stokes (Volunteer); and the American Fork High School Marching Band (Special Recognition).
